There is a question I hear from regular clients more than almost any other: what is a four hands massage actually like? And there is a shorter answer and a longer one.
The short answer: it is the most immersive massage experience I know how to give.
The longer answer involves introducing you to someone — because a real four hands session is only ever as good as the two therapists giving it.
What Four Hands Actually Feels Like
A four hands massage is exactly what it sounds like: two therapists working on you simultaneously, in mirrored, synchronised movements. Long strokes travel down both sides of your body at once; four warm hands move in rhythm rather than taking turns.
Something curious happens in the first ten minutes. With a single therapist, your mind quietly follows the touch — where it is now, where it is going next. With two therapists moving in sync, that tracking becomes impossible. The mind simply gives up and lets go. Clients describe it as being enveloped, and honestly, that is the best word for it. It is the closest thing to switching your thoughts off entirely that I have found in this work.
If a classic sensual massage is a conversation between one pair of hands and your body, four hands is a choir.
Meet Acia — My Friend and Four Hands Partner
Here is the part I genuinely enjoy writing, because a four hands session cannot be improvised with a stranger. The synchronisation, the shared rhythm, the trust — it only works when the two therapists know each other well. And I am lucky: my four hands partner is also one of my closest friends in this profession.
Acia is a wonderful independent therapist based in Bayswater, just across the park from me. She offers sensual, tantric and body-to-body massage in Bayswater from her own beautiful, discreet space — and she brings the same philosophy to her work that I do: unhurried sessions, genuine warmth, and complete discretion.
We met through this work several years ago, discovered we shared the same standards and the same sense of humour, and have been friends ever since. When we give a four hands session together, that friendship is exactly what you feel on the table: two people who move naturally in rhythm because they actually know and trust each other.
If Bayswater, Paddington or Notting Hill is closer to you than my West Kensington studio — or if my diary is full and you would rather not wait — I recommend her without a moment's hesitation. You can see her photos, services and reviews on her MassageHub profile.
How Our Four Hands Sessions Work
We hold four hands sessions at my private studio in West Kensington (W14) on selected days, when both of our diaries align. The session itself flows like any of my treatments — warm oil, soft light, no clock-watching — except that everything is doubled: the preparation, the attention, and of course the hands.
A few practical notes:
- Book ahead. Two diaries need to line up, so a few days' notice makes everything easier. A quick WhatsApp message is all it takes.
- Allow enough time. Four hands works best at 60 minutes or more — the immersion deserves room to build.
- First-timers are welcome. If you have never tried even a regular massage with me, you can absolutely start with four hands. Though be warned: it sets the bar rather high.
Between sessions together, we each see our own clients — me in West Kensington, Acia in Bayswater. Two studios, one standard.
Is Four Hands Right for You?
If you already love a slow full-body massage or a breath-led tantric session, four hands is the natural next step — the same philosophy, amplified. It is also a wonderful way to mark an occasion: a birthday, the end of a brutal work season, or simply a decision to treat yourself properly for once.
And if you are near Bayswater and a one-to-one session suits you better, go and see Acia — tell her Anna sent you.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a four hands massage?
A four hands massage is a session performed by two therapists working on you at the same time, mirroring each other's movements. With two sets of hands moving in rhythm, the mind stops tracking where the touch is coming from — which is exactly why the experience feels so immersive and deeply relaxing.
Can I book a four hands session with you and Acia?
Yes — we offer four hands sessions together on selected days. Because it requires both of our diaries to line up, it is best to message me on WhatsApp a few days ahead so we can arrange a time that works.
Where are you and Acia based?
My private in-call studio is in West Kensington (W14), and Acia welcomes her own clients in Bayswater. Four hands sessions take place at my studio, and you can also visit each of us individually for one-to-one sessions.
